Directed by Neil Marshall and starring Stranger Things‘ hugely popular dancing sheriff, David Harbour, Hellboy is still very much on our list of things to see next year, despite some rumblings of already-turbulent test screenings doing the rounds.
Lionsgate has previously pushed the release date of the reboot movie back until the spring, which means it’ll open a few weeks before Avengers 4, with Marshall promising a “more violent and more bloody” take on the source material to challenge the otherwise action-heavy, likely 12A-rated, Marvel-tinged month.

Ian McShane (John Wick, American Gods) is Professor Bruttenholm in this one, with Daniel Dae Kim (Lost) as Ben Daimio, Sasha Lane (American Honey) as Alice Monaghan, and Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) as the formerly-titular Blood Queen.

Hellboy is set to be released on 12th April, 2019.
