We’ve been missing Doctor Foster here at Den Of Geek, and while there are currently no plans for a third series of that afoot, we are certainly ready for this new Mike Bartlett creation.
Press will premiere on BBC One in September, and it looks like a good’un.
An ensemble cast will take us through the 24-hour grind of two fictional British newspapers, a broadsheet and a tabloid, as dilemmas face those employed in an industry that is currently in tumoil. From the quest to uphold the basic standards of journalism, to the dwindling sales of print media, the new series boasts a stellar cast that includes Charlotte Riley (Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell), Ben Chaplin (The Thin Red Line), Priyanga Burford (London Spy), Ellie Kendrick (Game Of Thrones) and David Suchet (Poirot).
