Mission: Impossible 6 has been a hit at the box office, and it’s another triumphant win for the partnership of star Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie.
The sixth film in the franchise has only been hogging cinemas for a couple of weeks, but Paramount is already planning out when to drop the Mission: Impossible – Fallout home release on us, much like a big bag of stuff precariously dangling off the end of a helicopter in the mountains for some reason (what exactly was that bundle of business, anyway? Someone let us know in the comments, please).
Sources at The Digital Bits have whispered that Paramount is looking at a 4th December street release date for the Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K UHD versions of the film, which would likely mark a mid-November digital date for it. This is in the US, mind, so the company has got a very important choice to make here – does it dish up Mission: Impossible – Fallout to the UK at the same time, ensuring some extremely good Christmas business off the back of one of its biggest 2018 releases? Or wait until January when a lot of people will be too broke to consider splashing out fifteen quid on it?
Let’s hope they plump for the former, eh.
We’ll bring you the official confirmation dates for the UK release as soon as we get them, of course, along with all the bonus content Paramount is planning to pair with it.
Until then, pre-orders are open for all your “buy now, reflexively scream at bank balance statement later” needs.
