Finally, it’s here – our official introduction to Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor and her series eleven pals.
We won’t rattle on. Here, have a peep:
Following the BBC’s recently founded tradition of piggybacking big Doctor Who announcements on big football matches (Whittaker’s identity as the new Doctor was revealed during the 2016 FA Cup semifinal), the clip was first aired during BBC coverage of the World Cup final between France and Croatia.
It’s our first look, ahead of Doctor Who‘s San Diego Comic-Con appearance this coming Thursday the 19th of July, at the new series executive produced by Chris Chibnall, and starring Whittaker, Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill.
The new episodes will also feature a brand new score by composer Segun Akinola.
Doctor Who series eleven, which is set to have ten episodes, will air on BBC One this autumn, with the exact start date still to be confirmed. There’s more to read about the new run in our collection of Who news here.
Two words for you: Oh, and brilliant.
