Jason Momoa is getting his feet wet with Apple. The Aquaman star and Game of Thrones alum will headline an upcoming sci-fi drama for the tech company, one of many slated in Apple’s ambitious original series plans.
Titled See, Momoa will star in the “epic, world-building, futuristic” drama from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight. Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence is attached to direct the eight-episode series. See is set in a future when the human race has lost its sense of sight, and society is forced to discover new ways to socialize, build, hunt, and survive. The status quo is upended when a set of twins are born with the ability to see. Momoa will appear as Baba Voss, a fearless warrior, leader and guardian.
Knight and Lawrence will serve as executive producers alongside Chernin Entertainment’s Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kristen Campo.
Momoa, of course, can next be seen as Arthur Curry, King of Atlantis and sardonic member of the Justice League in his first big-screen solo venture, Aquaman, in December. No word yet on when we can expect to, ahem, see See.
