A mild spoiler for Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse lies ahead
Filming on the new live action Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, kicks off in the UK this month, with Tom Holland reprising the role as the webslinger. Jon Watts is returning to direct, too.
But before that, at the end of this year too comes the terrific-looking animated movie, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, that will bring the story of Miles Morales to the big screen. We’re hugely excited for this one.
Already on board the cast are Liev Schreiber, Hailee Steinfeld, Shameik Moore and Mahershala Ali. But the site Discussing Film is adamant that also joining the voice cast is Nicolas Cage, and that he’s going to be lending his tones to the character of Spider-Man Noir in the new film.
As you might expect, there’s no official confirmation of this, but what gives it some credence is a leaked listing of upcoming Funko collectable products. Said listing seems to confirm the appearance of Spider-Man Noir in the movie. And the site’s sources then seem certain that Nicolas Cage is on board the project too.
A little dose of salt wouldn’t hurt with this one while we await confirmation. The movie arrives at the end of the year…
