With the film topping the US box office for a second consecutive weekend, Universal has been counting the cash with its latest dinosaur venture, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Whilst the film has picked up mixed notices, it’s accrued over $930m of takings thus far. That’s down on Jurassic World, but apparently up on expectations for the sequel.
The film is expected to be a sizeable DVD and Blu-ray hit too, and The Digital Bits is now reporting that – in the US at least – Universal is lining up a disc release for the film on September 18th. This hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but its retail sources are suggesting so.
A Blu-ray, DVD, 3D Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray are all planned, with boxsets too.
A digital release is likely to come first, and we’d expect the UK release to be there or thereabouts too.
More as we get it. No extras have thus far been confirmed.
