LeBron James still looks likely to headline Space Jam 2, as more news emerges…

It looks as if the mooted sequel to Space Jam is potentially edging forward later this year, with basketball star LeBron James still very much at the heart of the project.

Apparently, one of the delays to date has been James’ commitment to his NBA contract with Cleveland Cavaliers (don’t ask me, not my sport). That comes to an end – potentially – at the end of this month. And then James is likely to use his new contractual freedom to commit to the Instgram TV Uninterrupted platform, that’s being eyed as a YouTube rival.

He’ll be using said platform to debut some key videos, it seems.

In Basketball Society Online’s article reporting the news, it specifically cited that James will look to use the platform to launch, amongst other things, a Space Jam 2 trailer.

That’s all we’ve got at the minute, but it’s the most progress we’ve had in a year or so. We’ll keep you posted…
