The infamous legal battle between Gawker Media and Hulk Hogan is to be made into a new movie, with the director of the last three The Hunger Games movies on board.
Francis Lawrence (who also more recently made Red Sparrow) will adapt the big screen adaptation of the book Conspiracy: Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker, And The Anatomy of Intrigue, that was penned by Ryan Holiday. The screenplay is being penned by Charles Randolph (who co-wrote The Big Short), and the project may yet be next on the docket for Lawrence.
Hogan, infamously, won a $140m judgement against Gawker Media in a controversial trial. The award saw Gawker Media going out of business, and subsequently, questions were raised over the funding of Hogan’s lawsuit.
No word yet on who will star in the movie, not least who will be playing Hulk Hogan on the big screen. As we hear more, we’ll ket you know.
