Well, it looks like those long-standing rumours of a Boba Fett Star Wars spin-off movie were very much on the money.
According to a new report, James Mangold – of Logan, Walk The Line and Girl, Interrupted fame – is to write and direct the movie for Lucasfilm. Working with on the project is apparently Simon Kinberg, who had been rumoured for the Boba Fett film previously. The pair, who worked on Logan together, will co-write the script for the Star Wars spin-off.
No details as of yet have been released of the film, nor has Disney officially confirmed it. However, the studio is understood to have a bunch of films based on Star Wars characters in the works. Likely to be next up is the Obi-Wan Kenobi movie, that Stephen Daldry is looking favourite to direct. That one could shoot as early as next year.
