Neill Blomkamp, who’s been doing some really interesting stuff with his Oats Studio (that you can find here), is now pressing ahead with a new feature film. It’s a disaster movie by the name of Greenland, which is going to follow a family and its fight to survive, in the midst of what’s described as a ‘cataclysmic’ natural disaster.
Furthermore, it looks as if Blomkamp has found his lead star for the movie. Chris Evans has signed up to lead the movie, which is set to start filming in the back end of this year. STX International has come aboard to distribute the movie around the world too.
There’s no word yet on further casting choices for the movie, but as we hear more, we’ll keep you posted. We suspect that a 2020 release date is likely.
