Jordan Peele will be taking another plunge into the sunken place for his next film. The Get Out director took to Twitter to announce his next film will be called Us. The film will star Lupita Nyong’o, and Elisabeth Moss and Winston Duke are under consideration for lead roles, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Universal Pictures announced the release date will be Friday March 15th 2019 in the US. No UK date has thus far been confirmed.
Peele, who won an Oscar for shedding a light on hidden racial horrors as writer and director of Get Out, will write and direct the new film too. Us will be produced by Ian Cooper and Peele for Monkeypaw Productions alongside Sean McKittrick and Jason Blum.
There are no details on Us, but it will reportedly be about a black couple, who will be played by Duke and Nyong’o, and a white couple, one of which will be played by Moss.
