Guy Ritchie is heading back to his movie roots with a new British gangster movie…

He’s currently in post-production on Disney’s live action Aladdin movie, but after that, director Guy Ritchie looks like he’s returning to his roots. He’s set to make the new British crime drama Toff Guys.

It’s described as ‘darkly comic’, and a blend of Sexy Beast and Downton Abbey. The story follows an English drug lord who wants to sell his empire to American billionaires. Do not expect the transaction to go well would be our guess.

Ritchie has co-written the script for this one too, along with Marn Davies and Ivan Atkinson. And he’s lining the movie up as his next directorial project too. No casting has thus far been announced for the film, nor do we have a release date. Ritchie still has work to do on Aladdin though, that won’t release until next summer. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
