Swamp Thing, Harley Quinn and more are heading to Warner Bros' upcoming Netflix rival, DC Universe…

The queue of companies wanting a slice of the streaming cash that Netflix has been helping itself to continues to grow, with Warner Bros now confirming its own. It’s putting together a service full of shows based on its DC Comics properties. And it’s come up with a cunning name for it: DC Universe.

The first few series have been revealed too.

We’ll be getting – assuming we stump up the requisite subscription fee – a Harley Quinn series, a long-awaited third season of Young Justice, a TV series based on Swamp Thing that James Wan is overseeing and a live action Titans TV show. There’s talk too of a possible Superman-esque Metropolis TV show, but that hasn’t been officially announced as of yet.

We’re assuming that DC Universe will be US-only at first, and it’s expected to launch later this year. We await details of pricing and whatnot in due course as well.

Disney, meanwhile, continues to work on shows and productions for its own streaming service, that it’s looking to launch next year.

We’d best all get saving up…
