Colin Trevorrow is returning to direct Jurassic World 3, and he's been chatting about the direction of the next film…

We’re under two months away from the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, a movie that’s set to pick up from the ending of the wildly successful Jurassic World. Juan Antonio Bayona is directing the new film, and then after that, Colin Trevorrow – who helmed Jurassic World – is coming back to direct the next movie.

Trevorrow has been chatting about it too, and has revealed a further shift in genre for the next movie.

“If I could contextualize each film, I would say Jurassic World was an action adventure, Fallen Kingdom is kind of a horror suspense film, and Jurassic World 3 will be a science thriller in the same way that Jurassic Park was”, he told EW. That’s all the detail that he was revealing at this stage, though.

Trevorrow has been involved in the second movie too, having co-written the script. Jurassic World 3, which obviously won’t be its final title, is due in cinemas on June 11th 2021.
