Filming is set to begin shortly on the sequel to the big screen take on The Equalizer. Denzel Washington, headlining a sequel for the first time, reprises the role of Robert McCall in the movie, that also sees director Antoine Fuqua back behind the camera.
Other members of the cast are falling into place too. Firstly, there’s the news that Melissa Leo and Bill Pullman are back as Susan and Brian Plummer in the new film. They played early friends of McCall in the first movie. Pedro Pascal, meanwhile, has signed on to play the villain in the new film. His exact role has yet to be confirmed, though.
The movie is set for release in just over a year, on September 14th 2018. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more…
