It’s been a bit of a saga to get this far, this one. If all had gone to plan the final part of the Maze Runner trilogy, Maze Runner: The Death Cure, wouldn’t just have been released, but it would have been on DVD by now. Yet a horrific injury to lead actor Dylan O’Brien during filming of the movie put it back by well over a year.
O’Brien did eventually return to the production, and the film is finally complete, ahead of its release early next year. What’s more, the first trailer has landed, along with an official synopsis.

In the epic finale to the Maze Runner saga, Thomas leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet. To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze.
