Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes' Rupert Wyatt is said to be the man to steer Warner Bros' Green Lantern reboot…

Still on the schedule for a summer 2020 release is Warner Bros and DC’s movie reboot of Green Lantern. Entitled Green Lantern Corps, the new film will apparently focus on Hal Jordan again, although this time, he’s set to mentor a new recruit to the Corps, John Stewart.

It’s being reported, too, that the film has a director. Rupert Wyatt, who helmed Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, the remake of The Gambler, and is in post-production on Captive State (due next summer), is the man being linked with the job. There’s been no official confirmation of the news, but That Hashtag Show reckon that he’s landed the gig.

It’s very early days on the new Green Lantern movie. There’s been no casting as of yet, and whilst David Goyer and Justin Rhodes have been working on a screenplay, it’s a reasonable assumption that any new director will want to have a tinkle with it.

As we hear more on Green Lantern Corps, we’ll let you know…
