HBO have released a new fantasy TV series. The show is based on George R.R.Martin’s page turner book series of the same name.

I personally have never heard of the books but the fantasy/ historical genre is most definitely appealing to a Uber Geek like myself. The lavish production comes complete with appealing British accents, gratuitous violence, copious amounts of sex and amazing landscapes from filming in Northern Ireland, Malta and Morrocco.

The story line is about seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. Political and sexual intrigue abound. The conflict and plotting leads to war, but to the North an ancient evil awakens. All that stands between the waring realms of men on the horrors beyond is The Night’s watch, a group of misfits.
