The new big screen take on Charlie’s Angels is continuing to move forward at Sony. For some time, it’s been known that Elizabeth Banks is set to direct the film, and the idea is to have the movie in cinemas for the summer of 2019.
Now it seems that the film has progressed to the casting stage, too, with the news of two potential members of the Angels ensemble. Variety is reporting that Kristen Stewart and Lupita Nyong’o are two of the leading candidates to be the new Charlie’s Angels. There are others in mind too, apparently, but those names haven’t come to light yet.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more about the movie. For Stewart, incidentally, it’d be a return to blockbuster movies for the first time since the last Twilight film in 2010…
