Now here’s a surprise. It’s been about a year since Universal and DreamWorks Animation announced that the planned follow-up to smash-hit The Croods had been abandoned. Problems cracking the story had left the movie in limbo, and in lieu of solid progress, the film was shelved.
But now it’s been unshelved.
DreamWorks Pictures has announced that the follow-up to the 2013 original is back on, and it’s also given it a release date. The Croods 2 is set for release on September 18th 2020.
The core voice vast, led by Nicolas Cage and Emma Stone, will be returning. Another family is being introduced to the new movie too, with Leslie Mann one of the fresh additions to the cast.
