Fox, who owns movie rights to Fantastic Four and X-Men characters, plots six more Marvel Comics movies…

20th Century Fox already has three X-Men films set for release in 2018, with X-Men: New Mutants, Deadpool 2 and X-Men: Dark Phoenix all set for release between April and November next year. It’s now also reserved dates for two more Marvel Comics films in 2019, three in 2020, and another in 2021.

The specific dates are June 7th and November 22nd in 2019; March 13th, June 26th and October 2nd in 2020; and March 5th 2021.

As for what’s going to fill those dates? Deadpool 3 is a good bet, as is the long-mooted X-Force film. We’d suggest that Gambit may finally get his movie in there as well, and there’s likely to be a sequel to New Mutants and/or Dark Phoenix too.

The wild card in the midst of all of this is Fantastic Four. If Fox wants to hold onto the movie rights to the series, it needs to get another film moving soon. We suspect that a Fantastic Four reboot of sorts may well be in the offing, although note that that’s speculation on our part.

More on all of the films as we hear it…
