NBC has surely avoided the Bad Place by confirming The Good Place season 3…

NBC’s comedy department was in a bad place until The Good Place came along. Thankfully, the network has done right by confirming a 13-episode third season, as first reported by THR.

The half-hour comedy from Parks And Rec creator Mike Schur has been a critical hit since it debuted as a midseason show in January. It stars Kristen Bell, Ted Danson, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, Manny Jacinto and D’Arcy Carden.

The series initially followed Bell’s Eleanor, a terrible person on earth who dies and arrives in ‘The Good Place’ of the afterlife on a clerical error. Part sitcom, part ethics lesson, and full of surprising reveals, the series is maintaining its momentum in season two.

The Good Place is currently averaging over 6 million viewers in Live+7, so, y’know, it’s doing pretty well. Hooray!

You can catch up with the show on Netflix UK right now, if you’re not already watching along.

More as we have it.
